Jerry Bennett Excellence in Volunteer Administration Award

The Rochester Area Administrators of Volunteer Services (RAAVS) is a professional organization for individuals who administer volunteer services in the greater Rochester area. RAAVS is a collaboration of agencies and organizations who utilize volunteers to carry out their mission and vision. RAAVS provides support, guidance, training and resources to individuals working in the field of volunteer resource management. For over 30 years RAAVS has promoted, advocated for, and supported the development of professionalism among administrators of volunteers. RAAVS meets every second month for a Program meeting and provides mentoring for Volunteer Coordinators as well as support and networking among local agencies.

Named after a pioneer in the field in the Rochester Area, The Jerry Bennett Excellence in Volunteer Administration Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates outstanding achievement in professional management and volunteer engagement as a volunteer administrator, coordinator or manager. Their competencies result in effective delivery of services and support their organization’s mission and goals.
